Hello darlings, I trust we are all doing fine and I am sorry for not putting up a post in a while. My last blog post was on Valentine's day HERE. A lot has happened within a short period. This is not an outfit post but an update on what I have been up to lately.
Like most of y'all know, I am a Medical Doctor and came home last year July to write the licensing exam to be able to practice in Nigeria. Writing the exam was not just the end but marked a new beginning in my life. I talked about the exam HERE so you can check it out.
After passing the exam and doing the induction, it is expected to go through a compulsory one year hospital work Doctors do upon graduation. It is called housemanship/ house job/ internship. All you do during this one year is rotate through the four main departments (Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery and Medicine) for three months each. Getting a place to do this housemanship in Nigeria is very difficult, the competition is  high and there are limited spaces which makes some people stay at home for a year or more. I am just glad and grateful to God that he gave me a space. I started on the 11th of Feb even though my letter was ready a week before I just took out time to put myself together. I wasn't ready! Currently working at General Hospital Lagos in Marina. So far so good, it has not been bad. My first and present rotation is Medicine and was really excited when my letter was ready because it's not as stressful compared to pediatrics or obs/gyn and I love it.

It has been challenging because there are so many new things to learn and trying to fit into the whole naija Medical system since I didn't study here. It's only a matter of time and I would definitely learn on the job. No more long hour's of sleep or waking up at unnecessary times lol.. discipline has come in. Funny enough, my sleep pattern adjusted and I get to work very early yay!.
I miss shooting for the blog but will definitely work on something asap. That's it for now people if anything changes, I will keep you updated.
Thank you for visiting and see you in my next post. Cheers!!
