Hey darlings! How are y'all doing?? Sorry I've been MIA, lets just blame it on Malaria, PMS/MP and URTI. I'm actually doing better and been itching to work on a blogpost for you guys.
Happy new month and guess what guys?? March started out well for my brand and I'm really grateful to God.
On the blog today, we'll be talking about AGBADA.
Historically, Agbada was a flowing wide-sleeved robe worn by men in much of West Africa and to a lesser extent in North Africa. Agbada as a full formal attire consists of three pieces of clothing: a pair of tie-up trousers that narrow towards the ankle, a long-sleeved shirt and a wide open-stitched sleeveless gown worn over the shirt and trouser.
Agbada is really popular amongst the Yourba tribe in Nigeria and is usually worn by men on special occasions or to formal places.
Agbada outfits became popular in 2017 among women. I loved the trend but wasn't gonna jump on it because I didn't see myself rocking it and some ladies made it look boring.
Fast forward to December 2018 when a Nigerian brand sent me this beautiful Agbada outfit. Honestly guys, it was love at first sight. The color, fabric, style, design in the middle and fit was a yes!!! for me.
This outfit didn't require much accessories or lots of efforts on how to style and my choice of shoes was just perfect. My wig Toke also did justice to this whole look. Its currently my favorite wig.
The pictures from this shoot are amazing I mean the photographer killed it and I'm sure y'all can agree.
